noted for its dramatically situated villages and the prehistoric cave
art that has been discovered nearby. It is well documented to have been
inhabited by artistically inclined people to 20,000 bce. In the area
are the well known cave art sites of Perch Merle, Font du Game and
Lascaux. St. Cirq is presently supported on the many tourist who show
up to view its wonderful location. You can still find many areas
of the town where you can escape to crowd but you have explore the
alleyways and off-beaten paths. Put on your hiking shoes for the
cobblestones.
