"Monet's Boat and Willows", ©1999 photo Cheryl Christenson

Monet's House in Giverny, France is a very special place. It inspired many of Claude Monet's late painting. By diverting the local stream In the valley below the house Monet created a pond with a Japanese foot bridge. This place was used as the subject of hundreds of Monet's sketches and paintings.
