Olympia is the originating point of the present Olympic Games. Little is left of the original competition arenas other than a few grass lined fields. The remoteness of the location leaves it as a nice place to visit.  The adjoining temples seem to have been the victims a major earthquake with portions of the temple columns topples in a controlled order.
