"The Bridge in Luxembourg, Luxembourg", © Elroy Christenson 1985.

There are actually a couple of dozen communities within the borders of Luxembourg country. The country has been the possession of Spain, France, Austria, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. The country has tried to maintain a position of neutrality since 1867. It is known for its banking and financial activities. The bridges of Luxembourg tie the two sides of city to one another. The valley operates as a park while the caves in the cliffs have been used for wine storage and protection in times of war.
