The Maori meeting house in Hamilton, about half way between Aukland and Rotorua were carved by Kerati Rautangata, at Fairfield College (a high school), with the help of several of the students. It's very traditional on the exterior while the interior is full of colored and modern carvings with bright purple carpeting.
