"Downtown of old Skagway" Skagway was the main port for
the
gold-rush miners headed for the Yukon in 1896. As
a major port
city and it can handle four or five cruise ships at a
time. The
old taverns from the gold rush have been replaced by
jewelry
stores. From here the trains or buses can be taken
into Canada. |
