Boulder, Colorado
"National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder" The National Center for
Atmospheric
Research otherwise known as NCAR sits on a hill
overlooking
Boulder. The building itself was designed by I. M.
Pei in the
1960's. This is one my favorite architects who also
designed the
National Gallery of Art Annex and the Louvre Museum
remodel. It is
connected by trail to the Chataqua Trail and has a
number of trails
that lead from here up into Flat Irons. It provides
research into
weather phenomena worldwide as well as providing
educational programs
on the weather and its impact. |
