"The National Bison Range, Montana"

This small preserve in southwestern Montana has a very important herd that has been used to repopulate other bison preserves in the west.  You can drive among the animals at your own risk and when in rut it can be very dramatic with fights among the bulls.  We had one hop over the hood of our car.  Staying in or near your car is advised and it would be exceedingly dangerous to approach them.
