Early morning is very still on the Puget Sound.  Deception Pass actually is just to the right of the island in the center.  The island is a state camp ground only accessible by water and otherwise uninhabited.  This particular beach is on the Swinomish Indian reservation rented by the Thousand Trails recreation club.
