"The upper reaches of the Chataqua Trail"

The Chataqua Trail begins just at the city limits of Boulder, not far from the main shopping area.  The Chataqua Center at the beginning of the trail was establish in the late 1800 as a training center for teachers, intially from the state of Texas. It still retains a large wooden theater complex and residency buildings and maintains an active education program.  The trail is one of the most popular trails in Boulder with a lower easy trail almost like a freeway.  The more remote upper reaches are a scramble up large boulders.  From her you can get a great view of the plains.
