"Chateau Beynac overlooking the Dordorgne River, France", The Chateau Beynac is situated on
an high cliff for a strategic overlook on the Dordorgne River. This
area was very much involved in the Hundred Years War in the struggle
between the Plantagenets and Capetians. From the Chateau built about
1115 the French could keep watch on the English chateaux on the
opposite side of the river.
